Gripspan flooring system offers significant benefits over traditional flooring products. Available in standard or serrated tread and slotted profiles is roll formed, therefore it can be provided in any transportable length, minimising rivets or welded joints to hamper its strength. Its extensive load carrying capacity means it can handle long spans reducing the requirement for support framework and minimising installation times.
Manufactured from steel or aluminium, Gripspan’s open design means its maintenance free – and its light weight planks are easily handled by two people.
Unlike many flooring options Gripspan meets the updated requirements of AS1657, whereby any flooring that people may access underneath, must be able to prevent the fall of small objects, up to the size of a 15mm ball.
The roll formed plank design enables greater unsupported spans compared to traditional industrial flooring. Fewer fixings and supports equals lighter weight, faster installation and lower total installed cost. Gripspan reduces the net platform weight on load bearing structures with spans of around 2m are possible in normal foot traffic applications.
Gripspan with it's anti-slip surface, guards against falls and tripping in the workplace. This includes storage areas, mezzanines and access walkways: anywhere safety is a must.
A high slip resistance rating of R13 is achieved on the Oil Wet Ramp Test. A BPN (British Pendulum Number) between 82 & 84 based on Wet Pendulum test (dependent on profile).
Gripspan is also available with heel safe surface profiles.
