Webforge grating is manufactured in numerous combinations of load bar depth and thickness, load bar pitch and cross rod pitch. The full range of standard types of grating are shown on the following web pages. This range should cover the requirements of any customer; however, if other combinations are required, please contact your local Sales Office.
The load bearing bars incorporated in webforge grating are produced from steel which conforms to the following equivalent standards: AS3679 Grade 250, BS4360 Grade 43A and ASTM A36.
Recommended for high impact, high load applications where economy and strength are paramount.
Although not mandated by AS 1657 the use of 10 x 10mm square bar cleats or abrasive strips can be used for additional security. ISO 14122.1 recommends cleats between 10° and 20°. Serrated grating can be specified. Stainless steal and any bars 20mm deep will not be serrated.
In addition both steel and aluminium grating can improve their slip resistance by setting the direction of walking over the floor parallel to the loadbars. In steel grating there is better slip resistance in patterns with 100mm cross rod centres. i.e. Pattern A and C.
Smaller panels can be made on request or the above panels can be cut down as required.
